PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Authorities released new details on Monday after three people were found dead in a Southeast Portland home over the weekend.
Portland police say investigators believe a 22-year-old man shot and killed his 46-year-old mother and his 10-year-old sister before taking his own life in their Brentwood-Darlington neighborhood home on Saturday.
The names of those deceased will be released when the Medical Examiner's Office finishes their autopsies, police said.
Officers responded to the scene on the 7000th block of Southeast 64th Avenue just after 5 p.m. to reports of a suicide at a home, and when they arrived, they found the 22-year-old man and his mother and sister dead from apparent gunshot wounds, according to investigators.
