PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- One person was hospitalized on Monday night after being shot in the chest, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

The shooting took place in Wood Village near NE Halsey and Fairview Parkway, north of Gresham.

Multnomah County deputies and Gresham police officers are searching for the suspect.
