Former New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne is signing a one-year deal to join the San Francisco 49ers , according to multiple reports. The Pittsburgh Steelers could have been in play for the hard-nosed receiver.

Bourne visited the 49ers and Washington Commanders, but ended signing with the team he spent the first few seasons of his NFL career with, and will now help a group dealing with injuries.

Over the last few years, Bourne has dealt with injuries. He suffered a torn ACL in 2023, and played in just eight and 12 games over the last two seasons respectively as a result of that major injury.

Despite that, Bourne has still managed to be productive in short spurts. He had 406 receiving yards in 2023 in just eight games, while amassing 305 yards in 12 games this pas
