A small dog was discovered abandoned with his legs bound, but he managed to free himself and seek help. Authorities and PETA are now searching for the person responsible.

RUSKIN, Fla. – A small tan and white dog, believed to be a 2-year-old miniature pinscher and chihuahua mix, is recovering after being found abandoned on the side of a road with his front and back legs tied together. PETA is now offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

The dog was found near G-7 Ranch Road and Stephens Road on Wednesday. According to Hillsborough County Animal Control officials, he was discovered after he managed to get his front legs free from the bindings.
