MADISON (WKOW) -- Organizers of the Door of Hope Golf Outing helped make sure no student was left behind on Monday.
Participants were at the Maple Bluff Country Club.
The fundraiser helps low-income students to keep up with their peers.
One former student, Jeremiah Warren, has gone through the program and is now a leader at the event. He said it has helped him grow life skills.
"It taught me a lot of life skills like leadership, how to guide people and how to build robots to code," Warren said.
The event raised funds through an auction after golfers finished the course.
Retired WKOW Senior Chief Storm Track Meteorologist Bob Lindmeier was the celebrity guest at the event.
