North Carolina A&T left Orlando this weekend not only bruised from a blowout 68-7 loss to the University of Central Florida, but battered, too.
Three quarterbacks went down with injury on Saturday. First, redshirt freshman Braxton Thomas — who'd just earned the starting spot after his performance in the season-opener — dislocated his elbow on the fourth play of the game while attempting to brace himself after a sack. Fourteen plays later, redshirt sophomore Champ Long exited the game with his own elbow dislocated.
Then, true freshman quarterback Jy Walls broke his collarbone, but played through most of the pain. Walls will be out for the remainder of the season.
