Making it harder
I empathize with the letter writer who bemoans not being able to get a COVID shot without a prescription (really?) despite being 70 years old. The same scenario happened to me; I’m 72. I have faithfully kept up with my COVID shots every fall and never needed a prescription until now.
I do have an underlying condition ... my age! We all know that COVID can be more problematic for the very young and those 65 and up. Has anyone stressed this to our “highly qualified” secretary of Health and Human Services? At first, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did decree that seniors were eligible for the shot with no mention of a prescription, but then he changed his mind. Why?
Thankfully, my physician did provide a prescription for me and I have a COVID shot appointment scheduled for tomorrow.
