SANDUSKY, Ohio (WJW) -- The Erie County Sheriff's Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on state Route 2 early Sunday, Sept. 7, and needs the public's help.

It happened just after 3 a.m. in the westbound lanes, between the Erie-Lorain county line and the state Route 60 intersection, according to a Sunday Facebook post.

"We would be interested in speaking with you if you were traveling in that area at about that time, or if you have any information that you believe would be of any assistance with helping us with this investigation," reads the post.
