MILTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A circuit judge ruled Monday that former Milton Police Chief Kyle O’Dell be reinstated immediately.

That follows weeks of tense Milton Council meetings, with assertions from Milton Mayor Shane Evans that O’Dell had resigned from his position.

O’Dell said he was told in a surprise private meeting on July 25 that “he could either resign or be terminated.”

O’Dell told WSAZ investigative reporter Charlie Roth that he’ll be back on the job Tuesday.
