PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A woman, who police say claimed she was “from the future,” was taken into custody last week, after being arrested for DUI with a child in the vehicle.

On Thursday, the Pikeville Police Department responded to an AT&T crash detection alert near Pikeville Discount Drug on US 23.

“Those are kind of commonplace for us to receive those, because a lot of vehicles are equipped with the technology to say that they have been involved in a crash,” said Pikeville PD PIO Tiason Lockridge. “So, officers were responding to just an area where it was said that there was a collision.”

An officer with the department said, upon arrival, they found a black Jeep Cherokee “sitting still” in the right lane of traffic.
