CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - School threats hit Cabell County especially hard in September of 2024.

Law enforcement in Cabell County said although they are not seeing school threats at this time, they are approaching the time of year when threats cropped up in the past.

Officials are urging students if they come across a threat on social media to alert the police, rather than reposting it online.

“Every time kids come back into school -- and the biggest part is that they see on social media, so we ask that you don’t share,” Cabell County Sheriff Doug Adams said. “You tell about those threats if you see one.”
