ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Brooke Road United Methodist Church in Rockford held its monthly diaper distribution event today, providing essential supplies to local families in need.

The event saw families receiving free diapers, lotion, and shampoo, highlighting the ongoing demand for such resources in the community. Over 20 families were already lined up 30 minutes before the doors opened, underscoring the necessity of this initiative.

State Representative Maurice West (D), who helped raise donations for this month's distribution, emphasized the significant impact of the drive. "If our babies feel good, if they don't have to deal with rashes, if we have diapers for our families, then the upbringing and the development of the child is more effective," said West.
