Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine joined Cincinnati leaders Tuesday to announce new partnerships on preventing violent crime in the city.

DeWine said the state will be adding additional manpower and technology to the city of Cincinnati as they've done in a number of other cities, including Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Youngstown and Toledo.

The city, the police department and the state have signed an agreement to bring the Ohio State Highway Patrol into Cincinnati to begin carrying out regular violent crime reduction operations side by side with the local Cincinnati police.
