Artists Equity , the artist-led studio founded by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has appointed veteran producer and executive Amy Baer to serve as President of Film & Television.

Boasting a portfolio of films that have grossed more than $2 billion globally in total, Baer is known for founding Gidden Media, where she’s served as President, producing such films as double Oscar nom The Apprentice , Last Vegas , Mary Shelley , and Brian Banks , in addition to exec producing the Netflix chart-topper Purple Hearts . Earlier in her career, she spent 17 years at Sony Pictures, which recently set a three-year partnership with Artists Equity, whereby Sony finances and handles global theatrical distribution for the company’s projects.
