GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A years-long dream has finally been realized in Goodlettsville.
The highly-anticipated inclusive playground, Rachel's Garden, held a grand opening ceremony Sunday.
As of Monday afternoon, the playground saw dozens of families enjoying all the amenities built into it. Parents told News 2 the playground meets a huge need in the community, providing a safe and inclusive place for all children to play.
The playground was a community-driven project inspired by Rachel West, the daughter of Goodlettsville Fire Captain Ricky West.
West thought of the idea for children like his daughter, who is wheelchair bound, that would accommodate children with different abilities. • (Courtesy: Goodlettsville Parks and Recreation) • (Courtesy: Goodlettsville Parks and Recr
