MOORE, Okla. (KFOR) - A family is speaking out tonight after they traveled to Moore for what they thought would be their mother's funeral. However, when they arrived at the funeral home to finalize everything, they were told she had been cremated by mistake.

"We walked in, he sits down, he says, 'I don't know how to put it any other way, but there's been a horrible error.' He said, 'Your mom was cremated last night,'" said Ricky Dean, son of Carolyn Comer.

Carolyn Comer was described as colorful and full of life. Her family says she had her funeral arrangements all planned out and paid for, for nearly 30 years.

“She was more afraid to be cremated than she was of death itself," said Sharon Radig, daughter of Carolyn Comer.
