Emergency services have raced to a an empty silo in Merseyside following reports a person fell 30ft into it.

Emergency services raced to Woodend Avenue at the junction with Speke Boulevard this evening. Paramedics were seen focusing on a unit behind Dugdale Nutrition with police being seen inside the industrial unit on the second floor.

A part of Speke Boulevard was closed off outside Dugdale Nutrition, reports LiverpoolEcho . Emergency services appear to be working at rescuing the person who has fallen.

Fire crews wearing harnesses are walking toward where emergency services have been working.

Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement: "Fire crews have been called to an incident at a factory on Woodend Avenue, Speke, Liverpool this evening.
