A recent Gallup survey highlights a decline in Americans’ positive perception of capitalism, with only 54% expressing a favorable view, down from 60% in 2021. Meanwhile, views on socialism have remained steady at 39% positive.

Notably, for the first time since Gallup began the survey in 2010, more than half of Democrats do not hold a positive view of capitalism. This shift signifies a change in economic attitudes over recent years.

The survey results reflect evolving perspectives on economic systems in the United States, indicating a growing skepticism towards capitalism among certain demographics.
