DES MOINES, Iowa -- Football season has begun and the air has turned crisp in central Iowa. That means fall is finally here, and there are many things people can do to enjoy all the wonderful things the season brings. Below is a list of some pumpkin patches, apple orchards, corn mazes, and fall festivals located in central Iowa.

Pumpkinville and Cornmaze

Pumpkinville and Cornmaze is celebrating 30 years of fall fun this year. Enjoy a hayrack ride out to the pumpkin patch and pick out your own pumpkin. If trekking through the fields isn't your thing, then pick out one of the pre-picked pumpkins out front. There's also two different corn mazes to explore, as well as a straw train, bounce houses, playground, and more. This year there will be a special celebration for Pumpkinville's 30th ann
