LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- Human remains found in a wooded area of Calcasieu Parish in June have been identified, authorities said.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received information from the LSU Forensic Anthropology and Computer Enhancement Services Lab that the remains were those of Tameika S. Watley, of Lake Charles. Watley was previously reported missing in July 2024.
CPSO deputies were dispatched June 16 to the 5400 block of U.S. 90 West in Vinton to a report of human remains in a wooded area off the road.
