A childcare worker who was fired after a police investigation was launched into alleged violent incidents at an Ipswich childcare centre was hired and then subsequently let go by another facility.

The worker is under investigation after what's understood to have been two incidents of alleged physical violence against a child, which occurred in the past four months.

The ABC understands the allegations relate to incidents that occurred at the Amaze Early Education childcare centre in the Ipswich suburb of Silkstone, west of Brisbane.
