ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A series of motions hearings began Monday for Robert Aaron Long, the convicted 2021 spa shooter who is facing the death penalty in Fulton County.
Long is already serving life in prison without the possibility of parole related to four murders in Cherokee County, but pleaded not guilty to four killings in Fulton County.
Eight people were killed during the shooting spree, including six people of Asian descent.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is seeking the death penalty in Long’s case under Georgia’s hate crimes statute. All four of the Fulton County victims were Asian women.
