Prince Harry attended a charity event for children with serious medical conditions in London on Monday as part of a rare visit to the UK.
The Duke of Sussex presented the 20th awards for inspiring young people at WellChild, a charity dedicated to enabling children with life-threatening conditions to live and receive care at home.
Ahead of the award ceremony, he met with the award winners and their families and carers, and was caught joking with one boy about sibling rivalry, asking the young award winner about his brother - “Does he drive you mad?” he said, “You know what - siblings.”
Prince Harry, who is WellChild’s patron, addressed the children during the presentation and said the event celebrated “your courage, your resilience and the extraordinary love of the families and carers who never stopped showing up for you.”
“Each of you is a beacon of hope and inspiration, not just for those in this room, but to the nation,” he continued.
“Keep fighting, keep smiling, and above all, keep showing us what strength, courage and joy really look like."
Earlier in the day, the Duke of Sussex began his trip to the UK with a visit to his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II’s grave, marking the three year anniversary of her death.
