GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division reports a Greenville County detention officer and inmate were charged with bringing contraband into the detention center in March 2024.

Arrest warrants said Shamaurie Nathaniel Olijahwan Mushande Robinson arranged to pay 39-year-old Officer Rendell Berry $50 after he brought him a vape device while he was incarcerated in the Greenville County Detention Center.

Berry was charged with criminal conspiracy and furnishing contraband to an inmate at a county jail on Sep. 4, 2025, SLED said.

Robinson was also charged with criminal conspiracy and possession of contraband inside a county jail, SLED said.

They were both booked into the Greenville County Detention Center, which asked SLED to investigate.
