LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - 10/11’s Athlete of the Week is Lucy Barrett from Lincoln East High School. Barrett is a junior outfielder for the Spartans softball team.

So far this season, Barrett is batting .514 with 18 RBIs and 4 home runs (as of Sept. 8 following East’s game against Omaha Westside.) The class of 2027 outfielder has helped Lincoln East charge out to a 9-4 record.

On Sunday Sept. 7, Barrett committed to play college softball at Nebraska. The decision was what she described as a dream come true.
