Tears flowed freely on Monday as students of a north Alabama high school mourned the passing of 17-year-old Tristan Hollis .

Hartselle High School organized the event at the school auditorium two days after a chase by the police department of a nearby city, Priceville, ended in a fatal two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 36 and U.S. 31 in Hartselle. Priceville Police told WHNT-TV that the officer attempted to stop the suspect for moving violations/suspicion of driving under the influence.

Hollis was not in the car being chased.
