CATO, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)- People in the small town of Cato didn't expect a local factory to become a target of a federal raid, let alone the national attention that came with it.

"Seeing it make the world news, it was a little nuts to me," said Phil Krupa, who lives in Cato.

The raid happened last week at a Nutrition bar factory, where 69 workers were detained by ICE.

Many people we spoke with live near the factory, and saw the effect on their community firsthand.

The topic became somewhat of a "watercooler" topic for Kruco, who works in Cato.

"My coworker said Ice is out in Cato, and I didn't know what the heck he was talking about," said Kruco.
