The Boston Red Sox are trying to punch their ticket to the postseason but will have to turn their attention to Alex Bregman's contract after the season ends.
Bregman signed a three-year, $120 million deal with the Red Sox in the offseason, but his deal allows him to opt out and hit the open market if he wants. After putting together a resurgent All-Star campaign, he is reportedly a lock to opt out in search of a better deal.
