New Haven Police gave an update regarding several arrests made in relation to two recent homicide investigations.

The first update was on the double homicide that happened on August 25 on Dickerman Street .

Police identified the victims as 26-year-old Daiquan Hyman of East Haven and 32-year-old Ernest Williams of New Haven.

Sergio Thomas, 39, of New Haven, was identified as the lone shooter, and detectives secured his arrest on Friday, according to Asst. Chief David Zanelli.

While the crime remains under investigation, Asst. Chief Zanelli said Thomas used his own registered 9 mm pistol.

Thomas was arraigned on Monday at the New Haven Superior Court.
