JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) - A five-month investigation led to the arrest of a 21-year-old man who now faces charges for possessing child pornography, the city’s police department reported on Monday.

Officials said in March 2025, officials received a tip about a Janesville resident who allegedly possessed child pornography.

During an investigation, officials served several search warrants to electronic service providers and had officers watch the area.

On Monday, the Janesville Police Department SWAT teams executed a search warrant at a home in the 1400 block of Camelot Drive. During the search, K9 Maui, who specializes in electronic storage detection, was used.

He was taken to the Rock County Jail.
