HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Hartselle Police are investigating a crash that killed one teen and injured several others. Police say the crash happened around 8:30 Saturday night at an intersection in Hartselle.

Police say a vehicle that was involved in a police chase that started in Priceville and ended in Hartselle, hit the car full of teens at the intersection of Highway 31 and Highway 36.

Hartselle Police say a 17-year-old was killed and "multiple others were injured" in the crash.

Hartselle City Schools Superintendent, Holly W. Sutherland, released a statement Monday, saying:

"We are deeply saddened by the news that one of our Hartselle High School students passed away this weekend following an accident that also left several other students injured."
