THE WOODLANDS, Texas — A nurse at Memorial Hermann Hospital in The Woodlands has filed a lawsuit against the hospital’s former patient care director, who is already facing criminal charges.
Robert Shrader is charged with seven counts of invasive visual recording after investigators said he installed hidden cameras in both staff and public restrooms at the hospital.
The nurse, who is not named in the lawsuit, said Shrader’s alleged actions caused her severe mental anguish, emotional distress and psychological trauma. She claims one of the cameras was hidden in the staff restroom, a facility she used often, and believes it recorded her in multiple stages of undress.
According to the lawsuit, photos show areas in the ceiling where a hospital construction team discovered one of the cameras
