SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- There will be one free day of public transportation in San Diego next month.

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, residents will be able to board the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) and North County Transit - San Diego Railroad (NCTD) for no charge. That includes MTS buses, trolleys, and NCTD’s COASTER, SPRINTER, BREEZE fixed-routes and NCTD+ on-demand services.
