Seventy banks are set to close this autumn as research shows the UK has lost around 6,500 branches in the last decade - see if any closures due this month will affect you.

Analysis of official data shows that 21 banks will shutter in September, with another 24 due to close in October, and 25 in November, with Halifax leading the way. Seventeen of the closures due this month affect Halifax branches, which are part of the Lloyds Banking Group.

Another 16 Halifax branches will close in October and four in November, for a total of 37 closures this autumn. Another 29 closures affect Lloyds Bank branches, four of which are due to shutter this month, six in October, and 19 in November.
