A West Lothian woman has celebrated her 102nd alongside her friends and family.
Betty McKinlay enjoyed a birthday party at Burngrange Care Home, reports West Lothian Courier .
She was born in Benhar , West Lothian in 1923 and stayed within the family home until she joined the Army during World War 2. After she was demobbed, she met and married Harry McKinlay and they went on to have 10 children.
Sadly she lost her triplets William, David and Margaret who died in infancy leaving her and Harry to bring up the other seven children.
The family stayed in Fauldhouse most of their married life however did spend two years in Australia to see if this would benefit the family. She could not settle there and soon returned to Fauldhouse.
She has lived a long and healthy life despite the death
