Police descended on Moss Side after a man was found with slash wounds in the street.

Officers attended Westwood Street on Monday afternoon (September 8).

Greater Manchester Police says the victim, a 36-year-old man, was found on the street with slash wounds to his legs.

His condition was not deemed to be life-threatening, GMP says. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A cordon was put in place and officers were seen in the surrounding area, including Claremont Road, near Princess Road, at around 3pm on Monday.

Crime scene investigators were also seen in attendance in Moss Side .

No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident, according to GMP.
