BATAVIA — The former C.L. Carr Company Inc. department store building at 101-107 Main St., Batavia, has come back to life — and is ready for occupancy — thanks to the “Carrs Reborn” project spearheaded by entrepreneurs Ken Mistler and Pete Zeliff.
The business partners have leveraged personal funds and state grants to create 14 state-of-the art, modern and spacious market-rate apartments on the second and third floors along Main and Jackson streets — including two fully handicapped accessible units — along with 8,400-plus square feet of retail space on the first floor on Main Street.
