BBC Breakfast guest fights back tears as she says 'I should be grieving my daughter'

The mother of a soldier who took her own life after being sexually assaulted in the Army struggled to hold back tears during an interview on BBC Breakfast .

Jaysley Beck was found dead in her barracks at Larkhill Camp in Wiltshire in 2021, aged just 19. She had lodged a complaint against Battery Sergeant Major Michael Webber, who last week pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault.

An inquest into her death earlier this year concluded that the Army's handling of Jaysley's complaint played "more than a minimal contributory part" in her death.
