Nepal's prime minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned in the wake of deadly anti-corruption protests across the country, according to his aide.
Protesters in Nepal had set fire to homes of some of the country's top political leaders in a second day of anti-government rallies over a social media ban, which sparked the partial closure of the international airport in Kathmandu.
Local reports and videos shared on social media showed protesters attacking residences of the top political leaders in and around Kathmandu.
A curfew was imposed in the capital and other cities, and schools in Kathmandu were closed.
