MILLIONS could have type 2 diabetes but not know it, new research has warned - as it revealed one in four Brits with the condition don't have a diagnosis.

Type 2 diabetes - when the body doesn't make enough insulin or becomes resistant to it - is called a 'silent killer' as it can go undetected for years.

Insulin helps your body use sugar for energy but without enough of the hormone, blood sugar levels can become too high.
