MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) - For more than 100 years, all the children born into one Texas family have been boys. Now, that streak is ending, and they couldn’t be happier.
Michael Sherman Jr., a Montgomery County firefighter, and his wife, Joacquia Sherman, were surrounded by generations of family Sunday when they found out they’re expecting a baby girl.
“I just feel honored that finally, we are the ones bringing the baby girl into the world – finally, after over 100 years. It’s amazing,” the expectant father said.
The gender reveal was a historic moment for the Sherman family, who say the last time a girl was born into the family was 108 years ago.
“It’s like a monumental thing. I have three boys. My dad had two boys. His brother had two boys. So, it’s never been nothing but boys
