When you think of desert escapes in North America, you might think of Nevada or Arizona, or other destinations in the southwest of the US. You might not immediately think of Canada. Primarily, Canada is known for stunning lakes and mountains, huge swathes of lush forest land, and, of course, the icy north with its majestic subarctic and arctic beauty. Desert landscapes? Not so much.
