Actor and comedian Jon Reep has been arrested and accused of multiple charges of child sex crimes, the Hickory, North Carolina police department announced.

Reep, 53, was arrested Friday on one count of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and nine counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, HPD said in a Facebook post .

Reep’s arrest came months after HPD received an Internet Crimes Against Children tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April. HPD investigated the tip and found the account to be associated with Reep, authorities said.

Authorities seized Reep’s electronic devices while conducting a search warrant at the location linked to the IP address from the cyber tip. The case against Reep was submitted to the Catawba County District
