Radioactive contamination at an Indonesian industrial site may have caused massive recalls of frozen shrimp sold at Walmart, Kroger and other major retailers.

International nuclear officials say cesium-137 detected in shrimp probably originated from metal melting activities or scrap metal disposal at the processing facility.

The company recalled more than 300 shipping containers totaling 12 million pounds of shrimp already shipped to four ports in recent months.
