CHICAGO (WLS) -- A suspect with a lengthy criminal record allegedly killed a man in a brutal beating caught on video before carjacking a grandmother's SUV on the city's South Side on Monday night, according to law enforcement and police documents.

Surveillance camera footage from the scene shows two people standing at a CTA bus stop near 95th and Halsted.

The video shows the 76-year-old victim hitting the 32-year-old suspect, but there is no audio, and it is unclear what led up to that point. The man then punches the victim and shoves him to the ground.

ABC7 paused the video there because it is too disturbing. But the suspect goes on to beat and kick the victim multiple times, before eventually walking away.
