The UK could suspend visas for countries that don’t agree to return deals for migrants, the Home Secretary has said.
Announcing the proposed crackdown, Shabana Mahmood took aim at countries that don’t “play ball” in a move that could risk a flare-up of diplomatic tensions with key trading partners.
The new Home Secretary said: “We do expect countries to play by the rules, and if one of your citizens has no right to be in our country, you do need to take them back.” New Feature
