Even though summer is about to end, wildfires continue to burn acres of land across the U.S. Mount Rainier has now fully disappeared behind a thick layer of smoke , and several of its trails have been closed to the public. Similarly, a few days ago, Yosemite National Park made the news after visitors reported unrecognizable landscapes due to the park’s poor air quality caused by a nearby fire.

Unfortunately, the situation hasn’t improved; instead, it has worsened. The Garnet Fire has now burned thousands of acres of land, damaging ancient trees. Air quality at Yosemite National Park continues to worsen, leading the park management team to take a radical decision.
