DOVER - The Dover High School field hockey team entered Monday's Division I game against Exeter averaging five goals a game.

However, the Green Wave's defensive numbers have been equally impressive with just one goal allowed through the team's first three games.

The defensive stinginess continued on Monday, Sept. 8 as Dover defeated Exeter, 3-1 and and improved to 4-0 on the season. Exeter is now 2-2. Dover and Exeter have met in the Division I semifinals the past two seasons, and Dover earned a 3-2 overtime win last year.

Dover sophomore back Molly Angers said her team's latest performance was the best of the season.
