SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A 25-year-old Oviedo woman was killed Monday night when her SUV crashed into a retention pond off State Road 434 in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 10:45 p.m. near Lake Hayes Road.
According to a crash report, the woman was driving north on SR-434, or Alafaya Trail, when she went off the roadway and into a retention pond.
The woman was taken to Oviedo Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
No other information was released.
An investigation is ongoing.
