UNICOI COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office said that a teacher from Sevier County was arrested at a football game in Unicoi County Friday night.
Officials with the Sheriff’s Office idented 44-year-old teacher Brandon Cory Burns who was charged by officers with assault.
Officers said that Burns crossed the football field and assaulted at least two people following the football game Friday night.
A person and a player from Gatlinburg-Pittman grabbed Burns and attempted to pull him from the altercation, police said.
Officials said that officers learned during the investigation that Burns was a teacher and parent of one of the players from Gatlinburg-Pittman High School.
